🚨 On August 2, key provisions of the AI Act concerning general-purpose AI (GPAI) models entered into force. These include new transparency and confidentiality obligations for GPAI providers.

🗓️ For existing GPAI models already on the market, there is a transitional period until 2027 to achieve full compliance.
🗓️ According to the European Commission, full enforcement of all obligations will begin in 2026.

The new provisions also introduce the option to adhere to a code of good practices, recently published by the European Commission.
